Hi my name is James Alsop and I am the founder of P&R painting and decorating.

I have over 10 years experience in this trade and since having my two boys believe its my time to turn my knowledge, determination and ambition into success.

I have worked in the industrial side of painting which included working on multi-storey buildings in london, for a period of 4-5 years, which enabled me to learn how to stabalize steelworks and apply paints that would last for up to 25 years, in that time I had the opportunity to paint two huge staircases leading to the main area in the O2 arena which I grabbed with both hands. I learnt many skills in those years such as stripping back paint from metalwork that have been standing for over 50 years with abrasive materials and bringing them back to their former glory, also learning the special effects in rag-rolling and air compressor spraying.

More recently I have been working on the domestic side of the painting industry which I now mainly focus upon due to a real sense of satisfaction in this area, working on complete new builds to old derilict buildings, renevating them to help finish them off to a professional quality standard whether it be commercial premises or housing properties. 

My aim is to turn P&R painting and decorating into a well established and well trusted painting and decorating company. I've noticed over the years that there isn't really a very well known company in the nation that solely dedicates itself to the painting and decorating side of the construction industry...this is where P&R painting and decorating begins its amazing journey from a small time local business to a well trusted and highly recommened nationally used painting and decorating company.
